Edwin Johnson (Ivares Edvin Jonsson) 1905-1984

Edwin's Gold Medal Award from the king of Sweden.

Edwin received the Gold Medal from the King of Sweden for preserving the music in America. He also was given the Heritage Award in his home state of Wisconsin. Edwin was a special person; he was a plasterer by trade; he loved to fish and hunt; he built and invented things from houses, to machines, to boats. He continued to make fiddles throughout his life time, including some using his own special laminate wood, one of which Bruce still plays to this day. Edwin taught us all how to enjoy life and have fun with everything we do.
